Episode 1

There really is nothing much to say here, because Kel and most of the tribe weren't given much screen time. Editing. Pain. The episode was too focused on Kucha and its Kimmi. Kimmi and her Long Island accent Kimmi. Kimmi and her anatomically huge mouth Kimmi. And Kimmi, "How am I gonna masturbate out here?" Kimmi.

From the tidbits of Ogakor scenes I had a hunch that this tribe will fare much better in the physical challenges than Kucha. Although Kucha had Alicia, who could give Kel a run for his muscles, even from the first immunity challenge I saw this coherence within Ogakor. They were moving in unison whereas Kucha was cluttered. Proof? Two people from the tribe pulled off a Sonja: Liz fell off the bridge during the first leg of the first immunity/reward challenge---Bridging the Gap, and Rodger got caught onto some rope in the second leg. Personally I would have loved to see Liz fall off again in all its entirety, but of course the guys at editing did not want us to see that. one ever again. Cough*evil greedy*cough*bastards*cough. Another proof? Kucha’s raft tipped over. Now if they were organized they would have known that they should board the raft two by two (Ogakor did) and not rush it.

How many Kel scenes were there exactly? Let's see...one when he was getting off the plane as he was being introduced (and showed him in his uniform --- hee!), another when they were building the shelter (he was wearing a white sweater...I think), another when they were walking toward the venue for the immunity challenge (he was wearing a---is this right---“wifebeater”? Is that what Americans call it? How about undershirt? Anyway, to us Filipinos, it’s a sando. Okay.), and (this is such bad editing) the camera focusing on him while Jeff Probst was explaining the rules---cut to show Jeff---cut again to Kel but this time without the wifebeater or sando (whatever), and Kel almost stumbling in Bridging the Gap and then the rest of the immunity challenge. All of these did not even last 30 seconds. Sob.
